Who We Are

L'association des Sénégalais(es) du Royaume-Uni (ASRU)

The Association des Senegalais (es) du Royaume-Uni (ASRU) was founded on March 29, 2009, following the tragic death of the late Cheikh Sadibou Thioye in 2007 and the outpouring of solidarity from Senegalese that followed, a group of women saw fit to create a structure to help Senegalese in the United Kingdom. In 2014, it registered as company limited by guarantee and opened its membership to all Senegalese living in the UK.

What We Do

- Aid & Assistance

Aid and assistance to vulnerable Senegalese residing in the United Kingdom in collaboration with the Embassy of Senegal in London and other Senegalese associations in the United Kingdom.

- Donations

Donation of clothes and other items to the Mame Diarra boarding school in Porokhane in partnership with the Dahira Mame Diarra Bousso Nuru Darayni (United Kingdom)

- Events

Organization of Waxtanou Koor/Iftar Talks during the blessed month of Ramadan 2013, 2014 and 2015.

- Services

Competitive rates in Translation and interpretation in Wolof, Pulaar and other languages ​​on request.
